Learn moreIt doesn't sound like an ideal situation for a three-month road trip, but Eggy app founders, Kate Morgan and Kirk Reynoldson are planning one anyway.
The family of five will embark on an adventure across the United States to coincide with the ‘research and discovery phase’ of their organisational app Eggy in the states, before they take the app to a ‘hard launch’ in the world’s most lucrative market.
"The kids are very excited about the prospect of going to this big new place and they're up for the adventure. I'm sure that it's not going to be without its moments." Ms Morgan said.
The app, which has proven its worth in the Australian market, has a digital space for each family member, a work space for all your business needs, and can keep tabs on the family's grocery lists, bills and documents.
The couple are keen to introduce Eggy to families in the US during their upcoming road trip, which will fall over the end-of-year school break.
“Most of Australia has their ‘out-of-office’ on over December and January so we thought it would be a great time to go and test the waters in the USA.”
The Eggy app originated after the former NRL star and his wife started raising a family and a fine resulting from an unpaid car registration bill sparked the idea for sharing the mental load.
"We had stuff everywhere. We just went, 'What's going on? Why can't all of this just be easier and we just have it all in one place?’"
The family will embark on their US road trip at the end of the month.
